My day today started with a dentist appointment, so when I got to work this was the only available space that was close to the building. I could’ve left more space between my car and the Fusion, but I want to lead by example. Repent, ye heathens!

There is some dickhead that parks his Genesis Coupe with the passenger tires on the fucking line where I work and I can’t deal with it, because on the worst day our level of the garage is only half full. There’s no reason for it.

The engineer who sits next to me insists on backing in his bro’d out fakemeout 4Runner TRD Pro that’s actually an SR5 Premium with TRD Pro badges. Well, maybe about 65% of the time. Maybe it’s because he’s a sales engineer.
The sales guy with the bro’d out F-150 always backs in to every parking space, everywhere.

I back in to pretty much every parking space, everywhere, too. It’s way safer. You have a very clear view of what’s around you when you are coming up to a parking space, so you take advantage of that and do your reversing when the visibility is the best. Then when it comes time to leave, you can get a quick exit and easily see around you while pulling out without blindly sticking half your car into the lane first. Its especially advantageous when some giant SUV/truck has parked next to me, partially blocking my view. So yes, those look like douchemobiles (unless they actually use them and go wheeling), but there is some merit to backing in beyond trying to look tough.

I can vouch for that. The only person I know with a Genesis Coupe is also the same person that took his Suzuki Swift over a stop sign, through a fence, into some guys house. The same guy who slid the same Swift sideways into a ditch. The same guy who spun his Sunfire on an empty residential road into a curb. The same guy who (supposedly) got out of a reckless driving incident by pretending to not speak English and they couldn’t find a translator in the time they were allowed to hold him in custody. The same guy who ran into the back of a parked car in a motorcycle, waking up in the hospital with an ice pack on his crotch. The same guy whose GTO got repoed for forgetting to pay his car payment. The same guy who would brag about being able to take any Geo Metro in his Swift because he had one more cylinder. This guy. This guy now drives a Genesis Coupe.

I used to own a Genesis Coupe. But then I upgraded to a m235i last year. Next car will probably be a C43 or C63 in 3-4 years. Am I becoming less of a douche?
